Parmigiano Reggiano is one of the most popular cheeses. It is produced from cows grazing on fresh hay and grass and made in the provinces of Parma, Reggio, Emilia, Modena, Bologna and Mantua of Italy. It is nutty and fruity in taste and has a hard, gritty texture. This delicious cheese is mostly used to accent pasta, in soup and risottos. It's also perfect just on it's own.
